About Me

        My name is Maggie Lekan. I've grown up almost all my life in the Greater Cleveland area in a small town on the lake. It’s been exciting living in a new environment and I’ve loved the adventure so far. I'm currently a fourth-year student majoring in Political Science and minoring in Women's and Sexuality Studies. I'm also on the Pre-Law track.

        Outside of my courses, I've become passionate about giving back to the Bearcat community and the surrounding city. Some of my favorite memories come from volunteering at Cincinnati Animal CARE, an animal shelter in Hamilton County. In addition to volunteering, I’ve always had a joy for reading and find myself reading for hours on end when not completing assignments. I love to organize and rearrange my spaces, which I believe plays into my future goals. Eventually, after completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to either attend law school or pursue a post-undergraduate degree in the United Kingdom. 

        I hope to one day create a positive and inclusive presence in the legal and political environment and continue to do so at the University of Cincinnati.
