Interests and Involvements

Yearly Activities

First Year

While COVID has impacted the majority of first-semester, I've had the privilege of joining numerous activities on campus so far. Fall semester, I became a new member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, a women's social sorority. Additionally, I took part in volunteering for A Moment of Magic and accumulated 50 hours of service within my first semester. Finally, I spent time volunteering for the Transition and Action Program and running programming for their students throughout the end of the semester. Going forward into my second year, I hope to continue being active in the Bearcat community.

Second Year

This year I became increasingly involved in the Bearcat community by participating in off and on-campus activities. During the first semester, I participated in multiple volunteer programs. I volunteered weekly at the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio office by helping organize the activity materials for each troop. I began volunteering at Cincinnati Animal CARE, a local animal shelter, which I have continued throughout the year. I also continued volunteering for the Transition and Action Program here on campus.

In addition to volunteering, I also became a ROAR tour guide this year. I continue to give tours each week and help out at special admissions events. Along with joining ROAR, I continued with other campus organizations I joined last year, including UC Generation Action. However, in addition to my other involvements, I founded UC BookCats, a book club for all students at UC. Currently, I serve as president, and my term continues into next year.

Finally, I completed an internship at the Immigration and Refugee Law Center in Cincinnati, where I did background research on various countries for current cases at the Center.

Third Year

This year I studied abroad for the entire academic year at the University of Birmingham in Birmingham, England. However, despite not being in Cincinnati physically, I maintained my role as President of UC Bookcats virtually. I also participated in virtual volunteer opportunities with the Transition and Action Program and ENGin, an English speaking buddy program for Ukrainians.
